Evergreen BizLink
Evergreen BizLink, previously Washington State Microenterprise Association, is an organization dedicated to providing tools for economic development to Washington’s small businesses. They strive to help businesses innovate, succeed, and create economic vitality and a strong sense of place in their communities.
Process
In an effort to foster connectedness throughout Washington state it was important to the organization to incorporate colors and symbols that represent community resources and both western and eastern Washington. Blue and greens characteristic of water and trees of western Washington and warmer colors representing plains and sun of the eastern part of the state. Early renditions of the logo present some literal depictions of hands joining together, eventually leading to an abstracted rendition for the end product.
